Can I just get health insurance for a few months (use it then leave it)?

Im a 24 and self employed, non smoker . So I really don't need great health insurance with low deductibles. But I do need some dental and some yearly check ups done. So why not just get insurance with low co pays and pay a high premium for a few months go to all my doctors and dentists. Then when all my health is taken care of, just end my plan or lower my premium. Also I'm not planing to get on any RX drugs, just planning to visit some doctors and specialist.
