LPNs please share your experience?
I am currently a licensed veterinary technician, which involved an associates in applied science and the passing of a state and national board exam. I love alot of what I do, I love my patients, but I have alot of frustrations as well. I don't like that there is not alot of room for advancement, with the exception of practice management, which I do not have an interest in. There are a few other things, but I won't go too far into details. I have been looking into entering an LPN program for a career change, and was wondering if you could answer some questions. What types of facilties are you employed at or have you been employed at? What types of limitations do you have legally (that cannot be corrected by an additional certification}? We are limited to no sx, dx or rx, everything else is fair game. What are your frustrations with the field? Thank you, I appreciate it very much. I love medicine and would love to stick with it, obviously there would be alot of differences in human from veterinary, but I have a knowledge base I feel would be helpful. Thanks again
