What are some good anime like Ouran High School Host Club and Fruits Basket?

In Soul Eater the first four episodes are dedicated to introducing and developing separate characters, then the episodes are goofy for a while, but then they start getting more serious and plot building while maintaining a good amount of humor. Death Note is really nothing like either of them but it builds character well and has a bit of humor here and there, but is a lot more serious and very intellegent, considering it is a battle between the world's smartest detective and Japan's smartest student, lol.
