Where does walgreens get the ingredients for rx's made?

Want to know does the ingredients that are used in walgreens prescriptions, come from the U.S. or outside the U.S. I have noticed buying meds online, that the meds I am interested in may come from several different places outside U.S.,Are they just as safe and the same thing as what walgreens uses?
