I have to make an essay about this, can someone please help me?
The reason it was considered the "watershed" ws because it did everything important in 10 years. In the beginning, we were recovering from WWI and getting paid, women were trying to get the right to vote and alcohol was being thought of as terrible. Also, technology was taking off so fast. The assembly line for cars by Ford and the Model T was becoming a modern convenience for families when it became affordable. Skyscrapers were being built and the a new way to create steel faster and stronger and cheaper was being to the use. Music, dress, and work were beginning to change as well. Men were walking to work, or taking the trains in the cities and others were driving their cars if they lived in the suburbs. Women were now starting to earn wages for the household. Unions were being created along with better factory conditions for the workers. Federal Aid for parks were being given and the FDA was starting to put a dent in how America ate. Medical practices were starting to become more sterile and sanitation was beginning t take precedence in the slums. At the end, we fall into a depression in 1929. It held everything.
